Parking can be a bit of a pain in the day due to all the downtown business.

The new menu is great, lots of options now, prices comparable to everywhere else.

Cornerstone has everything - location, atmosphere, excellent selection of brewed goodness, friendly and attentive hands on owner, great food and best of all they aren't afraid to have live music and the occasional Deejay. I believe the bar business needs to be innovative and try things. Make people feel like this is the place with a sense of adventure. Thanks Cornerstone. (Former bar owner and present day musician)

Lots of salad options, if you like that for a meal.

Oh! And they have lots of gluten free options and I am one of those pesky non-gluten eaters, so I have a good selection when I eat there. I recommend checking them out!

Cornerstone is one of my favourite restaurants in the Comox Valley. I like soup! And they have super tasty homemade soups. You have to order the sides of your burger a la carte and I often end up with two because I always want the soup but the salads are really tasty, as well, and if I don't get the salad then I want the fresh kettle chips. Plus, they are one of the few places I can get a decent cocktail, a factor which is perhaps too important to me. I also love the staff (in a healthy, appropriate way). They've always given me great service and I've even gotten to know some of them outside of work because many of them are involved in cultural community events. This, and the fact that the Cornerstone hosts a lot of community events, lifts them from being merely a restaurant into the realm of a "third place".

Cornerstone is a great addition to downtown Courtenay. They bring a fun new energy to our community. They've always got something going on in the evening too, whether it be bands, DJs, open mics, or painting classes. Importantly, it is reliably open every day and night. The staff and owners are very passionate about great beer, so you know you'll be drinking something good poured by someone who knows what they're talking about. The food is lively, fresh, and quick. Try the sticky chicken burger with the Caesar salad, I think about the toasted chickpeas on top all the time.

Don't expect a TV to watch a sporting event.

I love this place. Great Atmosphere, they bring in live music, and a full coffee bar, tons of beer on tap along with wine and even Moscow mules in a copper cup! The food is delicious and much of it is sourced locally as well. Fresh, local, and delicious. ♥
