  But the food.... In more than a dozen visits while working in Courtenay, I failed to enjoy a single food option on the menu. Every baked good was a dry, underwhelming, inept attempt at gluten free. The breakfast tacos were simply bad--bland, dry, and disappointing.

  I'm a regular customer at Mudsharks. The meals are great - personal favorite is the glory bowl. There are ample gluten free options, and they're conscious of vegan/alternative diets. The cafe has a comfortable atmosphere, kind staff, weekly live music, and local artwork on display. The patio is an excellent choice for summer seating!

  Being an espresso junkie and connoisseur, I've tried every Americano that I can find in Courtenay and I would rate what Mudsharks has to offer as passable. If only rating the coffee, I'd give a three-star.

  A small nice place for coffee. Lunch time can be hit or miss for a table though. However when the weather is nice there is outside seating.
