  Had bad experiences at Canada Tire before, which I wrote off due to lack of experience of the staff. This week wanted to buy a Hoover Steam scrub Vac online, for pickup, but both my credits cards failed to work on there online purchasing system. These same cards just worked fine purchasing a holiday and an item from Amazon the same day, but not the Canadian tire website. Well that $89 dollar item went up to $125 today for the Black Friday Sale, for the same model, and items number.

  Canadian Tire Automotive service department lied directly to my face about the need for my wheel bearing to be replaced. I took my vehicle into Canadian Tire last year to have the wheel bearing replaced and was recently told by another establishment that it was already well worn and I should go back to warranty the job. I went back to get the bearing replaced under warranty and they told me that the bearing was fine and the jam nut on the tie rod was left loose which was causing my wheel to squeal and wobble. Last time i checked an axle nut and jam nut are very different and the jam nut does not contact anything while the vehicle is moving. So I was either lied to because they don't want to guarantee their work or the service writer doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. Meanwhile i have been brushed off and my wheel bearing is damaged from running off center for so long. I just really hope my wheel stays attached to my vehicle.

  And both the assistant manager and store manager at the store that ordinarily I'd choose for pickup, were rude. Even with a department manager saying that was just the way it was, should have bought it yesterday, and than walked away when I asked another question.

  Staff has always been great to me, but I have to highlight the help I received from a guy called Brett from the hunting department as I was looking for a specific item to gift my husband with. He sure went the extra mile even checking inside of each box until he found it. Customer service that cares and my husband was beyond happy with his present so a huge thank to Brett!

  We like supporting a Canadian company when we can. It's pretty much our default stop for many things in our household, including camping gear, kitchen appliances and even sporting gear.
